The Shalom ‘Creative Space’ evenings provide an opportunity for people with and without a disability to gather together and explore faith in an interactive, fun and creative way. These evenings include times of worship, exploring what the Bible says and an opportunity to be creative.
For example we may use drama, dance, flags, signing, the arts and crafts during these evenings.
We meet weekly in different venues across the Forest from 7.15 pm to 8.45 pm on a Thursday evening in Christchurch (alternating weeks) and on a Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8.30pm at St. Stephen’s Cinderford (fortnightly).
Refreshments are always available.
Please feel free to come and join in one evening. These times are inclusive, and everyone is welcome, young, or not so young.
We’re a missional community of people with and without disabilities who meet together to pray, read the Bible, learn more about Jesus and how we can get to know Him better.
We spend time together sharing food, having fun and enjoying getting to know each other better. We often bring along other friends.
Our aim is to be in full fellowship with each other within the body of Christ, recognising and honouring each other’s contributions, skills, and gifting.
We also love to welcome people and enable them to become involved.
We come together as equals before God and each other and walk in friendship together.
We seek to draw out each other’s skills and gifting, acknowledging that we all have different roles and parts to play within the team.
We recognise that each person has a unique contribution to offer to the team, group times and the Body of Christ as a whole.
We seek to create a safe space in which this can be explored, encouraged and developed further.
